Didn’t Get Selected in LA28 Drop 2? Here’s What’s Next

No email on August 6–7 isn’t the end of the road: more drops are coming, the official resale network opens in 2027, and your registration carries forward automatically.

Over 12 million people registered for LA28 tickets, and no drop can seat everyone. If the selection emails of August 6–7 came and went without your name being drawn, you’re in a very large club — and, importantly, still in the game. Here’s the honest map of every remaining route to the Games.

You stay in every future draw — automatically

This is the part most people miss: registration is one-and-done. Everyone who registered is automatically included in each future LA28 Olympic Ticket Draw until they reach their ticket maximum — and in the Paralympic draws when those sales open. There is no re-registration between drops, and being passed over in one draw doesn’t affect the next.

More drops are coming

LA28 has said directly that fans can expect additional ticket purchase opportunities as the Games draw closer. Drop 1 came in April 2026, Drop 2 in August — and the Games are still two years out. The pattern of drop windows is set; the next announcement is a matter of time. The official resale network opens in 2027

In 2027, LA28 launches a secure, multi-platform ticket resale network — the only place it will be able to verify that a resold ticket is real. Until then, LA28 explicitly cautions fans not to buy or sell LA28 tickets outside its verified network. A too-good-to-be-true listing today is exactly that: unverifiable until the official marketplace exists.

Paralympic tickets: a whole second Games in 2027

Tickets for the LA28 Paralympic Games go on sale in 2027 — Los Angeles’s first-ever Paralympics, with its own draws that your existing registration already covers. If your goal is to be in the venues in 2028, this is a genuine and often-overlooked route.

The premium route

For those with the budget, official hospitality packages — tickets bundled with premium experiences — are sold separately through On Location, LA28’s official hospitality provider, without the draw.
