If your Drop 2 slot comes through, your ticket names a venue — and Los Angeles venues are far enough apart that “which one” shapes your whole trip. 2028 Stadium (SoFi Stadium), Inglewood

The Games’ showpiece: swimming moves into a temporary pool inside the NFL’s most spectacular building, and the Opening Ceremony is shared between here and the Coliseum in a dual-venue format. It sits in Inglewood next door to Intuit Dome — the two make one cluster for planning purposes. Indoor, evening-friendly, and expected to host the largest Olympic swimming crowds ever.

LA Memorial Coliseum, Exposition Park

Athletics — track and field — in the only stadium on earth hosting its third Games. It shares Exposition Park with BMO Stadium (flag football and lacrosse) and the Galen Center nearby (badminton, rhythmic gymnastics), making the park the densest sports cluster of the Games. The Metro E Line runs directly to Exposition Park — it’s the easiest major venue to reach without a car.

Intuit Dome, Inglewood

Basketball. The Clippers’ arena, purpose-built for the sport, hosting the tournament everyone will want a ticket to. Same Inglewood cluster as SoFi; plan for heavy demand — basketball finals are historically among the hardest Olympic tickets.

Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena

Soccer’s deciding rounds. A third-Games veteran like the Coliseum, and the stage where the tournament ends — group play happens at stadiums across the country, then the medal rounds come here ([why soccer tickets work differently](/guides/olympic-soccer-at-la28)). Pasadena is a separate trip from the Inglewood and Exposition Park clusters; on event days the venue runs shuttle systems from the Metro A Line.

Think in clusters: Inglewood (SoFi + Intuit Dome), Exposition Park (Coliseum + BMO + Galen), Downtown (Crypto.com Arena, Convention Center, Peacock Theater), Long Beach’s waterfront cluster, and Pasadena.
LA28 has said the Games will lean on public transit; detailed Games-time transport plans aren’t published yet. Don’t lock in car-dependent plans two years out.
